"We tried another TaeKwon-Do school
before we came
to Cypress TaeKwon-Do and my children
were treated like they did
not exist. What a difference I have
found here. The instructors really
care about my children and make them
feel like part of a family."

Cypress TaeKwon-Do is conveniently located in
northwest Houston 1/2 mile south of 290 in front of both StoneGate and Riata Ranch
sub-divisions next to Cy-Fair Storage. Our training facility is over 3000 sq
ft. Students can train in comfort in our climate controlled facility.
We offer family oriented children and adult classes.
Cypress TaeKwon-Do also offers the best preschool
and after school programs in the Houston
area. Programs are offered five days a week at
various times in childcare facilities throughout Northwest
Houston.
At Cypress TaeKwon-Do we teach traditional
TaeKwon-Do and are members of The Phoenix Group, an affiliate of the
I.T.F., International TaeKwon-Do Federation. Our style of training offers
students an opportunity to learn TaeKwon-Do the way it was intended by
General Choi Hong Hi, the founder of TaeKwon-Do.
Our classes offer high intensity training and
focus on real-life situations to prepare the students to be able to protect
and defend themselves. Studies have shown that children that take
TaeKwon-Do have an increased sense of responsibility, and a higher
self-esteem. Doctors often prescribe TaeKwon-Do for children for the
positive outlet it gives them as well as for the exercise.
TaeKwon-Do Teaches:

Discipline
Self Control
Respect of others
Self
Defense
For adults, TaeKwon-Do is an all around workout. It provides the
anaerobic training in the form of sparring and aerobic training in the
practice of patterns. TaeKwon-Do offers a mind-body experience, much more
fulfilling than the workouts available in a standard health club.
My cholesterol was consistently running between 240
& 280 over the course of
my last three tests before starting TaeKwon-Do with my son. I tried to
impact this by changing my diet to no avail. Approximately six months after
starting TaeKwon-Do, I had my cholesterol checked again. To my pleasant
surprise, my cholesterol had dropped to just below 200.
